An updated guide to the EU Sanctions against Russia

In response to Russia’s continued escalation and illegal war in Ukraine, the European Union (“EU”) has adopted a ninth package of sanctions on 16 December 2022, further restricting economic relations with Russia, Russian entities, and persons.     The 2019 Hague Judgments Convention to enter into force in September 2023

    On 29 August 2022, the European Union deposited its instrument of accession to the Convention of 2 July 2019 on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters (the “Hague Judgments Convention”).
