Our corporate M&A team assisted Origin Enterprises plc on the sale of mineral fertilisers wholesaler

After having assisted Origin Enterprises plc, an Irish listed global player in agricultural services, in relation to the acquisition of Belgian fertilisers business, Pillaert Meststoffen NV, in 2017, our corporate M&A team has now successfully assisted Origin Enterprises plc on the sale of that same business.

Pillaert Meststoffen NV, headquartered in Ghent, is a Belgian leading wholesaler of mineral fertilisers and related agricultural products in Belgium and neighbouring countries and has been sold to Brokking Holding B.V. for a total consideration of EUR 15.5 million on a cash free / debt free basis. Brokking Holding B.V. is a privately held business based in The Netherlands with operations in the agricultural sector in several European countries. With this acquisition, it will further strengthen its position on the fertilisers market in Belgium and neighbouring countries. The official press release can be found here.
