On 30 November 2018, Van Bael & Bellis counsel Isabelle Van Damme spoke on “International Courts and Tribunals and the Autonomy of the EU Legal Order” at the Annual Meeting of the Netherlands Association for European Law in Amsterdam. Isabelle’s keynote lecture focused on the conditions under which the Court of Justice of the European Union accepts that the European Union becomes a party to international agreements providing for a means of dispute settlement, viewed from the perspectives of EU and international law.
