Isabelle Van Damme and Quentin Declève author book chapter on intra-EU investment arbitration

Isabelle Van Damme and Quentin Declève have authored a book chapter on the current status of intra-EU investment arbitration. This chapter discusses the impact of the 2018 Achmea judgment and the Plurilateral Agreement which was concluded by most EU Member States, in May 2020, to terminate their respective bilateral investment treaties.
This chapter has been published in “Investment Arbitration under Intra-EU BITs”, a volume edited by José Rafael Mata Dona and Nikos Lavranos in which leading practitioners in both commercial and investment treaty arbitration discuss the intersection of EU law and international arbitration.
