The EU Deforestation Regulation introduces rigorous new deforestation due diligence requirements and other compliance obligations in respect of seven commodities - cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soya and wood – as well as certain derived products. Companies trading in these goods in the EU or exporting them from the EU are now preparing to ensure that they have suitable due diligence in place and that their supply chains are compliant.
