Van Bael & Bellis has successfully assisted Bidvest Belgium in relation to its acquisition of Bestfood. Bidvest Belgium is part of the JSE-listed group Bid Corporation Ltd. and internationally active in the food service industry. Bestfood, based in Beringen (Belgium), has been active in wholesale trade for more than 20 years, focusing mainly on the food service industry. The acquisition allows Bidvest to further expand its food service business and reinforce its position at the top of the Belgian market.
