Meta – EU Court of Justice confirms that abuse of dominance assessment can consider violations of data protection laws

The EU Court of Justice handed down its highly anticipated Meta judgment this week, confirming that national competition authorities can analyse a dominant firm’s GDPR compliance when assessing an alleged abuse of dominance, and highlighting the duty of sincere cooperation as between competition authorities and data protection supervisory authorities.
