Simón Hernández focuses on all aspects of international trade law, including international public law, WTO law and trade defence mechanisms. Simón also assists clients in pharmaceutical regulatory and intellectual property matters as well as in litigation, arbitration and dispute settlement.
Prior to joining Van Bael & Bellis, Simón worked both in private practice (in a leading Colombian law firm and in the Spanish office of a leading global law firm), and in the public sector (in the Colombian Tourism, Foreign Investment and Exports Promotion Office for South East Asia and the Colombian Council of State (the supreme tribunal with jurisdiction over administrative issues in Colombia)).
Simón coached the winning team of the All-American Regional Round and ultimately the world champions of the Final Oral Round of the 14th Edition of the ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law. Simón was also appointed as a Panelist in the 17th Edition of the ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law.
