Van Bael & Bellis partners author the Introduction to Chambers’ Merger Control 2019

Chambers and Partners has just published the 2nd edition of its Global Practice Guide to Merger Control 2019, updated to 5 August 2019. Van Bael & Bellis founding partner Jean-François Bellis and partner Porter Elliott are contributing editors of the publication and authored the Introduction to the Guide.

Covering 33 of the most significant jurisdictions worldwide, the Merger Control Guide provides expert legal commentary on the key regulatory issues facing businesses whose transactions are subject to government approval.

The Global Practice Guide to Merger Control 2019, 2nd edition, is available in print, as well as on-line.

    Andrzej Kmiecik participates in ICC-Baker McKenzie 14th Annual Conference on Trends and Developments in Global Competition Law

    On 15 May 2020, Van Bael & Bellis partner and head of competition Andrzej Kmiecik participated in a panel discussing developments in international merger control at the 14th Annual Conference on Trends and Developments in Global Competition Law organised online by the London-based Interdisciplinary Centre for Competition Law and Policy and Baker McKenzie. Other members of the panel were: Chris Prevett, Senior Legal Director, Mergers, Markets & Sector Regulation, UK Competition and Markets Authority and Heather Johnson, Senior Counsel to the Director, US Federal Trade Commission. The panel was chaired by Eyad Maher Dabbah, Director and Professor, ICC, Queen Mary University of London. Further information on the conference is available here.
