Van Bael & Bellis hosts roundtable discussion on gender equality in law firms

On 29 March 2018, Van Bael & Bellis hosted a roundtable discussion entitled “Gender Diversity or Equality? Creating inclusive environments in law firms” as part of a Leadership in Law series, co-organised with Global Legal Post. The purpose of the roundtable was to examine the steps that can be taken to improve the current situation as firms face persistent issues of gender pay gaps and diversity. The participants in the panel discussion included Fiona Carlin (Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie’s European and Competition Law Practice in Brussels; Chair of the Global and Antitrust Law Practice; EMEA representative on the Global Diversity & Inclusion Committee), Kathleen Van Nuffel (Director of Steptoe & Johnson’s office in Brussels; Member of Steptoe Pride Alliance); Michael Clancy (Senior Counsel at Van Bael & Bellis in Brussels; Permanent member of the firm’s Social Responsibility and Diversity Committee) and Reign Lee (Director of Lee & Associates in London; Permanent member of Van Bael & Bellis’ Social Responsibility and Diversity Committee).
