Seventeen Van Bael & Bellis’ lawyers recommended by Best Lawyers

On 22 June 2018, Best Lawyers published the results of their research for their 2019 guide. This year, Van Bael & Bellis has seen an increase in the number of lawyers recommended and in the number of practice areas listed, with 15 partners and two senior counsel recommended across eight practice areas. Four of these lawyers receive listings for the first time, while two lawyers are now recommended for additional practice areas. For competition, Jean-François Bellis, Porter Elliott, David Hull, Andrzej Kmiecik, Peter L’Ecluse and Kris Van Hove are listed, along with the newly recommended: Richard Burton, Johan Van Acker and Markus Wellinger. For Trade, Philippe De Baere, Fabrizio Di Gianni, Richard Luff, Pablo Muñiz, Yuriy Rudyuk and Benoît Servais are listed alongside Jean-François, while Clotilde du Parc (Head of Van Bael & Bellis’ Geneva office) is listed for the first time for Trade (Geneva). Catherine Longeval is listed for Litigation. Peter L’Ecluse has received an additional recommendation for Biotechnology and Life Sciences. Reshad Forbes is listed for Regulatory Practice alongside Jean-François, who is also listed for Government Practice. In addition, David Hull is also listed for EU Law, in respect of which Jean-François is also newly recommended.
