Van Bael & Bellis’ EU competition practice ranked as ‘Outstanding’ by GCR 100 2018 survey

Van Bael & Bellis’ EU competition practice is once again placed in the ‘Outstanding’ category by Global Competition Review (GCR) in its 2018 edition of the GCR 100, a comprehensive listing of the world’s top competition practices, being those firms engaged in the most important antitrust work around the world. The firm’s Belgian competition law practice is also ‘Recommended’ by GCR.

Van Bael & Bellis is noted as being “the only firm in this survey to have all its antitrust practitioners in just one office. Nonetheless, its competition practice is one of the largest in Brussels. Its client base is global.”

While the firm’s co-managing partner, Jean-François Bellis, has “a well-deserved reputation as one of competition law’s elder statesmen”, many of the firm’s lawyers come in for special mention on account of their track records. They are: Richard Burton, Michael Clancy, David Hull, Tim Kasten, Andrzej Kmiecik, Peter L’Ecluse (who heads the firm’s Belgian team), Andreas Reindl, Stephanie Reinart, Kris Van Hove and Markus Wellinger.
